Livia
Livia, was the wife of Augustus, and maintained no small influence on the affairs of government. Living very simply and frugally, Livia set an example of Roman virtue which made her quite popular with the people of Rome, the malicious stories about her being products of later historians. She died in 29A.D. during the reign of her son Tiberius.
