George III 1809-1810 Medals
I really love these medals. I aim to assemble a full collection of the larger white metal and bronze examples, the smaller token like types i wont bother with at this stage.

GOD SAVE THE KING/Legend around and within encircling snake. The first of my G3 Jubilee medals. 52mm

GOS SAVE THE KING/Legend around various accoutrements. My second, mirror like surfaces. Quite beautiful.41mm

GOD SAVE THE KING/ Arms of the borough of Tewkesbury dividing inscription within wreath. OCTR 25th 1809 BY THE BOROUGH OF / TEWKESBURY Around: TO COMMEMORATE THE 50TH ANIVERSARY OF A BELOVED MONARCHS REIGN. BHM 656 AR (!) RR.
My first Rare Jubilee medal, a local issue rather than the usual narional issue. Spoilt only by a period brooch soldered on. Pin has been removed, but the chance of damage to the medal is to great for even a professional jeweller to remove. I originally thought this was white metal, as did the dealer i bought it from. However, it weighs a great deal more than the WM of identical size and thickness, the colour is different and it is almost certainly silver, which makes it much rarer.

GOD SAVE THE KING/Legend around wreath with GRAND NATIONAL JUBILEE OCT-25.1809 inside.
